Peter Norton Part IV: "Enjoyment" Paves a Path to Success
Here's an important point: Even before he was self-employed, Peter allowed himself plenty of time to savor his own achievements. He'd reread his own work for the pure pleasure of it: whenever he came upon a particularly elegant bit, he felt a sensation akin to "taking the creamy top frosting off the cake."
For a worker in a big corportation, this might have been merely an adjunct: big outfits have built in systems of rewards. But for someone who was eventually to become an entrepreneur, ijt was a crucial habit of mind. Enjoying the process is one of the best things you can do for yourself.
