Copyright: Parody

The protection given by a copyright is not absolute. You--or anybody else--can use protected materials without permission in at least two ways.
One way; PARODY

Anyone is permitted to "quote" from a copyrighted work (whether written, musical or visual) for the purposes of parody, but the quotation can be no larger than is needed for the average audience to recognize what's being parodied.

For a discussion of "manipulation" see "sampling" discussion.
